DNA-SAL^™ Salivary DNA Collection Kit

The DNA-SAL™ Salivary DNA Collection Kit is a proprietary patented device intended for the collection of saliva rich in DNA by abrasion of cells on the inside of the cheek, using a series of serrated edges on the platform of the Collection Device.

Collection time in less than 1 minute, with high DNA yield. Suitable for multiple downstream technologies (PCR, sequencing, genotyping, and more).

After gently scraping along the buccal mucosa, the DNA-SAL™ Salivary DNA collection device is removed from the mouth and held in the hand while a small quantity of a safe rinse solution is taken, “swished” around the mouth for a few seconds, then transferred by spitting back into the original sample tube. The collection head of the DNA-SAL™ Salivary DNA tool is then detached from the handle into the transport tube containing the sample and rinse solution. It can then be immediately processed or sent to a laboratory for DNA extraction.
